Accessing Learning Remotely
If your child has to isolate but is well enough to access learning remotely, please follow the guidance below.
EYFS - Year 1
As much of the learning takes place through the provision in early years and year 1, teachers will direct parents and carers to Oak National Academy. The sessions will link to the learning taking place in the classroom as far as possible and a laptop will be provided if needed.
On the first day of absence, a member of the attendance team or the class teacher will contact home to find out whether the child is able to access learning remotely. If they are, we will support parents and carers with Oak National Academy, directing them to the relevant sessions.
The attendance team will be in regular contact to ensure your child can access the learning and the class teacher will then make contact if any further support is needed.

Year 2- Year 6
From years 2-6, pupils will be able to access live learning which takes place within the classroom. A laptop will be provided if necessary, and the class teacher will invite pupils to all lessons via Microsoft teams. Pupils will be able to submit their work via MS teams and teachers will provide feedback.
On the first day of absence, a member of the attendance team or the class teacher will contact home to find out whether the child is able to access learning remotely. If they are, we will support parents and carers to set up MS teams and provide all necessary login information. Remote learning will begin the following day.
If they are unwell, parents and carers will be asked to contact the school as soon as their child is feeling better and is ready to access learning. The attendance team will be in regular contact to support parents and carers.
